We’re at it again with another #bosslady to share tips on how to rock your work remotely.
Mandi has been in our lives for a few years now! She’s always supporting local businesses, while running her own! Even though we’ve never met her #irl – she constantly motivates us and others to choose their journey and #hustle hard.
Mandi currently resides in Fresno, California as a Student Affairs professional, and runs her Chloe and Isabel business on the side. She started as a merchandiser, but has quickly become a merchandiser manager where she uses her tips and positive influence to help others grow their business.
Check out what Mandi shared with us below on how to work best “Out of Office”.
Working remotely, for me, is all about creating a space that is energizing whether that is at home or out-and-about. As someone who identifies as multi-passionate (a kinder way of saying hot-mess-all-over-the-place) I’m very well-versed in working remotely and from multiple different locations on many passion-projects. I have run a direct sales jewelry business and led a team of 100+ women for the last few years. My business has traveled with me from a move from Illinois to California and through multiple career transitions.
I’ve worked for start-ups and spent the last 5 years defining my own personal brand.
There are many things that have meant a lot to me as my space has transitioned and evolved.
When I can, I love to work outside. A cold-brew coffee (or any coffee, really) beside me and the right combination of sun and shade and I feel like I can knock everything off my to-do list for the day/week/month.
I love drooling over lovely spaces on Pinterest. I think it’s important, to create a space that makes you feel energized in multiple ways.
Still trying to define your go-to space? Some questions to consider:
1. What inspires you to be creative?
2. Where have you done some of your most creative work, or the work that you are more proud of?
3. What kind of spaces draw you in?
Another tip? Keep things around you that center you. For me that’s:
• My glitter mindfulness jar
• Post-its with quotes from supervisors/friends/colleagues
• Inspirational sayings
I’d love to see pics of your favorite spaces, your home office, or even just your little happy nook. Tag me @mandijstewart so I can see!
