We know working remote can be exhilarating, but also a bit overwhelming. You are often your own boss, in control of rocking your day and managing your time to be able to balance a little of work and home.
Most of the amazing women we know who work remote, are doing so alongside their full time, in office, jobs, but working remote can give you a different kind of rush than working in office. For some, it is an opportunity to make ends meet, while having a flexible schedule. For others, its a way to work outside the 8 to 5 to help pursue their passions.
This month, we want to feature a few amazing women who “Work It” remotely + share tips with you on how to make the best of that #workremotelife
Today, we are featuring Trina Patel, founder of Cash Bar Co.
It’s fitting it’s on a Sunday, because Sundays are when Trina preps for her work week and also, Trina is getting married this week, (congrats). We are so excited to feature her and allow our viewers to get to know how she rocks her remote work life.
Get to know Trina:
In short, Trina has worked in the asset management + corporate world of finance for 10 years. (#experience)
She started her business/blog, Cash Bar Co, after seeing a gap with millennial thinking of personal finance and what has been traditionally offered/advised to them. She makes it her goal to help millennial women learn to take control of their personal finances, in a fun, and crafty cocktail kind of way.
We love the Weekly cocktail, aka blog full of financial wisdom on her website, and her Instagram #TipsyTuesday finance tips. But she doesn’t stop there – she also hosts events in the area to meet up with millennial women and talk finance.
When we asked Trina what tips she had for working remote, and balancing her work from home, blog/business life, with her full time job, this is what she said gave us:
1.) On Sunday evenings, I create my schedule of to-do’s for the week (leaving room for things that will spontaneously come up) and I plan it in such a way where I group the things that require more attention and focus to work out a coffee shop and other things where I need to be alone (for calls, recording videos, etc.) to work from home.
